On April 26, 2024, the International Rating Agency A.M. Best Company Inc. (USA) officially announced an increase in the financial stability rating of the Uzbekinvest insurance company to the "bb" level, with a stable outlook.
This rating agency is the only global financial institution in the world specializing in the assessment and assignment of international ratings exclusively to insurance companies.
To date, Uzbekinvest is the first and only organization in the insurance market of Uzbekistan, which has been assigned a financial stability rating by the International Rating Agency A.M. Best Company Inc. The company has been cooperating with this rating agency for 4 years. In its press release, A.M. Best Company agency stated: “...The financial stability of Uzbekinvest's balance sheet is supported by risk-adjusted capitalization at the highest level, measured by the capital adequacy ratio (BCAR). The Company adheres to a relatively conservative investment allocation strategy, with about half of its investments in bonds and other fixed income securities, which are predominantly of high credit quality. The assessment of Uzbekinvest's business profile reflects its leading position in the small and growing insurance market of Uzbekistan and emerging competitive positions in foreign markets. Over the past three years, the company has significantly increased its reinsurance portfolio, which accounts for more than 50% of the gross insurance premium in 2023.”

Confirmation of the level of the international rating from A.M. Best Company indicates a high level of creditworthiness of the company, which creates conditions for its active increase in operations on the international reinsurance market and expansion of insurance support for Uzbek exporters, as well as foreign companies investing in Uzbekistan. To date, Uzbekinvest conducts reinsurance operations in 136 countries around the world, while the volume of foreign income in the total volume of insurance receipts by the end of 2023 exceeded 51%.

Also, last year, the company provided insurance protection to national exporters of goods and services in the amount of USD 2.5 billion, which accounted for 36% of coverage of Uzbekistan's non-primary exports. In 2023, the company provided a gross collection of insurance premiums in the amount of 1.2 trillion soums and a 1.3-fold increase in volumes compared to the same period in 2022, while for the period from 2016 to 2023, the volume of premiums collected increased 12 times.

It should be noted that in May 2023, the international rating agency Moody's Investors Service (USA), which is one of the big three international rating agencies along with Standard & Poor's and Fitch Ratings, announced an increase in the forecast for the financial stability rating of Uzbekinvest insurance company to the level of "Positive", "Ba3".
