Law "On Agricultural Risk Insurance" Adopted

The law regulates relations in the field of agricultural risk insurance.

According to the law:

• Agricultural producers who are legal entities may voluntarily insure the livestock and crop products they produce.

• The Ministry of Agriculture is designated as the state body coordinating the implementation of agricultural risk insurance.

• An Agricultural Insurance Fund will be established, from which insurance payouts will be made.

• Agricultural risk insurance will be directly supported by the government: 50% of insurance premiums and any shortfall in insurance payouts will be covered through state budget subsidies.

The law comes into force on July 17, 2025.
